Unstuffed Cabbage Roll

This Unstuffed Cabbage Roll recipe is a great alternative if you like stuffed cabbage rolls but it takes too much time to roll each one in the cabbage leaf. I cook this in my slow cooker. You can play around with the spices as it cooks adding more if desired but this recipe is how I like to make it. Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground organic grass fed beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 small head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 28 fl. oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can pasta sauce
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 2 C instant Rice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Worcestershire Sauce (add a few drops and can keep adding more as you cook until desired flavor.)

Brown organic ground beef in skillet. Once cooked put in slow cooker and add remaining ingredients, stir and cover. Cook in slow cooker until cabbage is tender. Times will vary depending on the type of slow cooker you use and the temperature setting you use.

Organic grass fed beef has many health benefits and then combining it with cabbage, which is also very healthy, you will be providing your family with a very healthy meal that they will enjoy.

You can also freeze any left overs for a short time. If you freezer it with a sealer that takes out the air it will last longer and it also freezes better. Freezing it makes a quick easy and Healthy supper when you do not have much time or if you have unexpected company for supper!
